Position Description: 

The Center for Leadership Innovation (TCLI) seeks a full-time Website & Communications Coordinator to assist TCLI staff with updating, monitoring, developing and researching content for our website.  This position will also be charged with using popular social networking tools such as Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook to complement our communications efforts. 

Ideal candidates are those who enjoy working with website technologies, can quickly learn how to use web based applications (Plone and Salesforce), are skilled at communicating effectively, have strong experience using social media, are creative, self-motivated and detail oriented, and who want to work in a culturally diverse nonprofit setting. Recent graduates with a BA in technology, communications or related field are welcome. Minorities and women are strongly encouraged to apply. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.


Principal Responsibilities:

• Coordinate further development of TCLI's website and web presence

• Co-design and implement new site features to increase site performance and functionality

• Monitor, maintain and research website links

• Draft copy for web pages

• Learn how to use Plone to upgrade website functionality

• Learn how to use Salesforce to become TCLI’s primary Salesforce administrator

• Troubleshoot website problems and provide direct user support as needed

•  Maintain website back-end, managing relationships with web-related vendors

•  Monitor blog content, organize guest bloggers, coordinate staff participation in blogging

•  Generate website, blog and social media usage reports

•  Initiate and nurture a substantive social media presence using sites such as Facebook,LinkedIn, Flickr, Reddit, Digg, etc..

 

Skills & Qualifications:

•   Affinity for web-based technologies with strong interest in emerging online trends

•   Strong (written and oral) communications skills

•   Demonstrated “can-do” attitude, resourceful and creative problem solving skills

•   Open to learning and ongoing change

•   Hands-on experience in building, maintaining and enhancing websites

•   Strong experience with online communities on social networking platforms (e.g. Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, etc.)

•   Self-motivated and can work well with teams

•   Ability to quickly learn new software/hardware systems

•   Organized – strong ability to set priorities/manage multiple projects in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment

•   Experience using Plone (CMS), Salesforce (CRM), and e-commerce applications a plus

•   Experience working or volunteering for a nonprofit organization a plus

•   Bachelor's degree in communications, technology, or related field
