The Latino Nonprofit Leadership Academy was created by The Center for Leadership Innovation (TCLI) as part of a broader social change strategy to achieve more equitable access to opportunity for those who live in disadvantaged communities across America.

To date, The Center for Leadership Innovation has collaborated with national and statewide organizations across the country in the production of five Latino Nonprofit Leadership Academies in North Carolina, MinnesotaChicago/Illinois, Michigan, and Arkansas.

TCLI’s innovative model of planned stewardship includes building the capacity of local co-training partner organizations to assume local stewardship of the Latino Nonprofit Leadership Academy in the third year after its initial launch.

The first generation of organizations with which TCLI has built ongoing local stewardship of LNLA to support Latino communities includes the Latino Policy Forum (LPF) in Illinois, Hispanics Advocacy and Community Empowerment Research (HACER) in Minnesota, the Consortium of Hispanic Agencies in Michigan, Una Comunidad! (UC) and the Arkansas Coalition for Excellence (ACE) in Arkansas, and the North Carolina Latino Coalition (NCLC).

The Latino Nonprofit Leadership Academies are uniquely tailored programs for those leading organizations that serve Latino communities. These year-long skills-building opportunities are designed to foster, nurture and support Latino nonprofit leaders as they move their organizations to the next levels of excellence, sustainability, and impact.

We are actively exploring the possibility of bringing the program to a number of other locations including DC-Delaware-Maryland-Virginia, the Gulf Coast area, Iowa-Nebraska, Washington-Oregon, and Georgia-Tennessee.
