American Community Leadership Initiative

The Center for Leadership Innovation is embarking on an open innovation process to design the American Community Leadership Initiative (ACLI) that we hope will become a self-sustaining national program to further serve community leaders working to achieve meaningful social change.

The complex challenges of the 21st century require a new generation of visionary leaders – individuals who will create exciting opportunities and solve tough problems in disadvantaged communities.

Over the coming months, we will engage graduates of our leadership programs in listening sessions, surveys and online forums to determine the scope and content of what will be offered through ACLI.  We imagine ACLI might include such elements as peer-to-peer and/or individual coaching, in-person intensive leadership programs, annual leadership summits or other methods of connecting, developing and inspiring leaders. We also envision that ACLI will become a dynamic space for innovative ideas and partnerships to flourish.

We will post the results of our research and will unveil ACLI in 2010.
